Inkleaf
Terms of Use
Effective 21 August 2026 · Last updated 21 August 2026
The short version. The pages you make are yours. We need a licence to store them, render them and show them back to you — nothing more. Inkleaf Pro is $14.99 a month or $119.99 a year, the annual plan carries a 3-day free trial, and Apple handles the billing and the cancelling, not us. AI drawing is unpredictable: sometimes a page is refused rather than drawn, and this document explains what happens when that occurs.
1. Agreement
This is the agreement between you and Zaman Ishtiyaq (“we”, “us”),
sole operator of Inkleaf (the “app”), governing your use of the app and the API it
talks to at my-manga-life.vercel.app. By creating an account you accept it.
If you do not agree, do not use the app.
See also our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why — it is part of this agreement by reference.
2. Who can use this app
You must be at least 13 years old, and older still if that is the age of digital consent where you live. You need an Apple ID to sign in — there is no other way in — and you are responsible for whatever happens under your account, the same way you are responsible for your Apple ID.
3. What you put in, and what you get back
Your content
Your journal entries, your selfie, the names and descriptions you give your cast, and any other material you submit are yours. We are not claiming them.
Your pages
The manga pages, character sheets and volumes the app renders from your content are also yours. You can read them, turn them, export them and do what you like with them.
The licence we need to run the app
To do any of that we need your permission to:
- Store your entries, your selfie, your cast and your pages, on our servers and in our vendors' storage, for as long as your account exists — see Privacy Policy → How long we keep it.
- Send your selfie, your reference images and your journal text to the third-party AI models that draw and write your pages, described in full in the Privacy Policy.
- Display your pages back to you, on any device you sign into the app with.
That licence is non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free, and it exists only so we can operate the app for you. We do not license your entries, your face or your pages to anyone else, we do not use them to train a model, and we do not publish them anywhere you have not chosen to share them yourself.
Delete your account and this licence ends
When your account and its content are deleted, our right to store and display them ends with it, subject only to the short backup and log windows described in the Privacy Policy.
4. What the AI can and cannot do
Inkleaf draws every page and writes every beat sheet with third-party AI models. Read this section before you write anything you are relying on the app to render predictably, because none of it is guaranteed:
- Output is not deterministic. The same entry can render two different pages on two different attempts. A likeness can drift from your reference. A panel can misread what you wrote.
- A page can be refused. The model providers run their own content filters, upstream of us, and a request — yours or ours on your behalf — can be declined for reasons outside our control. When that happens the app tells you honestly that the page was refused rather than pretending it is still rendering, and it does not charge you a page from your monthly allowance for a refusal.
- We do not pre-screen your writing. We do not read your journal before it is sent to the model. If an entry repeatedly triggers refusals, the practical fix is to write around whatever the filter is catching — we cannot override a third-party model's own judgment.
- The art style is not a promise of likeness. The app draws a manga interpretation of your selfie and your cast, not a photograph. It will not look exactly like you, and it is not supposed to.
5. Acceptable use
Use the app for your own journal and your own likeness. Do not:
- Upload a selfie or a cast photo of somebody who has not agreed to be drawn, or of a child.
- Use the app to generate, describe or request anything unlawful, anything depicting a real person in a way intended to harass, defame or sexualize them without consent, or anything sexualizing a minor.
- Try to extract, scrape or resell the underlying AI models, prompts or generation pipeline.
- Attempt to break the app's authentication, quota or billing systems, or access another user's account or pages.
- Use the app in a way that violates Apple's own App Store terms.
We can suspend or terminate an account that violates this section. We will tell you why if we do, unless the law asks us not to.
6. Subscription, pricing and cancellation
| Plan | Price | Trial |
|---|---|---|
| Inkleaf Pro — Monthly | $14.99 / month | None |
| Inkleaf Pro — Annual | $119.99 / year | 3 days free, then the full year charges |
Prices are shown, charged and billed by Apple in your local currency and may vary by region; the figures above are the U.S. list price. A free plan exists with a lower monthly page limit and no trial is required to use it.
- Billing and renewal. A subscription renews automatically for the same length and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period. This is Apple's standard subscription mechanism, not ours.
- The trial. The 3-day free trial applies to the annual plan only. If you cancel during the trial you are not charged. If you do not cancel, the full annual price charges when the trial ends.
- Cancelling. All billing, refunds and cancellation are handled by Apple, through your Apple ID — Subscriptions, not by us. We cannot cancel or refund a purchase on your behalf; Apple's own refund process is the only route for that. Cancelling stops the next renewal — it does not retroactively refund the current period.
- Changing your mind on a purchase. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Apple ID → Subscriptions, subject to Apple's own policies.
- What Pro changes. The monthly page allowance, the number of cast members you can keep, export and print resolution — the exact numbers are printed on the paywall in the app itself, because they are tuned from time to time and a document like this one is the wrong place for a number that changes.
- We can change pricing for future billing periods, with notice through the App Store as Apple's own rules require. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
7. No warranty
The app is provided “as is.” We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any given page will render successfully — AI generation can and does fail, as explained in Section 4. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim every warranty, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including a lost page, a failed render, or a lapsed streak. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for our own gross negligence or wilful misconduct where the law forbids limiting it.
9. Ending this agreement
You can stop using the app at any time; request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy → Deleting your account. We can suspend or terminate your access for a violation of Section 5, non-payment, or if we are required to by law. Sections 3 (your content, after deletion), 7 and 8 survive the end of this agreement to the extent they would naturally continue to apply.
10. Apple's part in this
The app is distributed through the Apple App Store, and Apple requires a few specific acknowledgements from every developer who ships a custom agreement instead of Apple's own standard licence:
- This agreement is between you and us, not Apple, and Apple has no responsibility for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the app.
- In the event of any failure of the app to conform to a warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price if applicable — to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection law.
- Should a third party claim the app infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence and resolution of that claim.
- Your licence to use the app is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's Usage Rules.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo, and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement, and upon your acceptance Apple has the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change something that materially affects your rights or the subscription terms, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that counts as accepting the update; if you do not agree, stop using the app and cancel your subscription through Apple.
